The Journal of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (JIAOMR) is a peer reviewed, quarterly publication of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR). Any such scientific publication is a true reflection of the research and academic pursuits of not just its members but also of the international academia. With a plethora of high-quality scientific publications in the fields of Oral Medicine, Maxillo-Facial Imaging, Oral Pathology, Forensic Odontology, and allied subjects available to the avid reader, our journal must match other international journals in its quality of content while show casing our national research focus.

The Editorial team is working tirelessly in improving the quality and relevance of articles and also steadily working toward PubMed indexation. Although good research promotes publication, a good publication is also a boost for research. I am confident that senior faculty will take this opportunity to publish more and more of their priority research papers in our journal. It would also be a good idea to have special issues focussing on the epidemiology, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of our subcontinent centric diseases. Finally, efforts are also on to make the JIAOMR financially viable and self-sustaining, an exercise which can be strengthened by all of us ensuring that our institutions subscribe to this journal.

Engrossing JIAOMR reading to all – Jai Hind!
